In addition to our consulting activities, we believe it's important to develop our skills and expertise with internal projects, bringing some of our great ideas to reality.
Following our ideas and inspirations, we have embarked upon several projects that we hope will both benefit the industry and advance engineering & technology. Sustainable manufacturing and environmentally conscious solutions are always at the forefront of our thinking, as is the science of biomimetics. We have plans to introduce some novel materials into the market in efforts to innovate and support those efforts.
Being part of the solution rather than the problem is one of our main drivers.
Vehicle Dynamics Modelling
From full lap time sim using the power of commercial tools to simple in-house MATLAB models, we've developed a depth of capability in vehicle dynamics and data analysis techniques.
This can be applied on projects ranging from the development of a race specification chassis to the optimisation of an existing chassis for a particular race day or event.
Here is where we wrote on some of the technology we use.
Underfloor Aerodynamics
A comprehensive and objective CFD research project to develop and improve the picture of the underfloor aerodynamics of a GT format race application.
Preceding that study was a DoE to document key sensitivities in rear diffuser design which is published on our website here.
A great opportunity to build on our experience and implement some creative tricks we've learned along the way.
Novel Suspension Components
A series of front and rear control arm concepts marketed towards racing teams and the weight-conscious, offering lower weight, improved performance and customisation.
They will be offered in two materials: CNC milled Aluminium and an innovative composite technology with a lower price and environmental impact than current carbon fibre technology.
Natural Fibre Composites
Recognising the growth of natural fibre composites in recent years, we see that for widespread adoption in favour of environmentally damaging CF composites, a structural application must be implemented.
We are currently in the fundraise stages of a project involving the use of natural fibre composite in a structural automotive application.

Aerodynamic Devices
We have developed a front splitter initially for use with the Renault Sport Megane platform.
Offering CFD validated aerodynamic performance advantages over the OEM package, the design reduces positive lift and addresses the factory brake heat management issues experienced by track users via brake ducting.
This is a project undertaken in conjunction with AP Motorsport.
Rear Wing Platform
We developed an efficient rear wing for road based amateur competition.
Extensive CFD was undertaken to verify and optimise the design with focus on maximising efficiency. The outcome was a very efficient, proven aerodynamic platform that can easily be adapted for other applications.
A brief write-up of the development process behind this wing can be found here.
